ACTIVITY SUGGESTION

Before giving this worksheet to your students, model the exercise: write the first two clauses on the left side of the board (1. 'If I am late for class...'  and 2. 'When he stays up very late....') with their matching clauses on the right side of the board: '...he is very tired the next morning.'   and '...my teacher gets angry.'  Ask your students to match the sentences, and when they answer correctly, draw lines between the matching clauses. Wrap-up by having students compare answers with classmates, and then choose one or two students to write their answers on the board: 1 - C / 2 - F / etc.  Correct and discuss any mistakes.
(Add 5 to 10 minutes.)
