ACTIVITY SUGGESTION
Before giving this worksheet to your students, review and discuss the meaning of 'should' (consider contrasting it with 'have to' and/or 'must').  Perhaps share a small personal problem that you have and ask for advice from your students.  Then, write the first two sentences on the board and elicit the missing words.  Finally, give the handout to your students and ask them to fill in the gaps with the correct words.

Wrap-up by having students compare answers with classmates, and then choose one or two students to write their answers on the board: 1 - should   2 - Should / should   etc.  Correct and discuss any mistakes.
(Add 5 to 10 minutes.)

ACTIVITY SUGGESTION
Before giving this handout to your students, review and discuss the meanings of the italicized words in bold font in the different sections of the handout; for example: shopping mall; department store; shopper; on sale; credit card; etc.  Looking up these words in a dictionary might be assigned for homework during the previous class, and then discussed before the activity.

ACTIVITY SUGGESTION
Set a time limit of about 15 or 20 minutes for discussion, and then extend the activity by having the groups write their choices (of what to bring to the island) on the board.  Encourage open debate (in English, of course) as the different groups explain and defend their differing choices.                                                                       (Add an extra 10 minutes)
